Skyline Wagon
Need I say anymore? sky-line-wa-gon So full of win it should be on a Wheaties box. This body will apparently be a limited production item, which kinda sucks. It sucks because if you get one it will be nearly impossible to replace so you can't drive like an arse nor can you screw up the paint job. What would I do with it? I'd get a bunch of crawler accessories and make it a sweet looking shelf queen. If you want one you will need to contact Banzai Hobbies.

LRP Blasts Into The Touring Car Market
It's a dune buggy. It's a stadium truck. It's a monster truck. Now it's a touring car! LRP has proven that it's Blast chassis is quite versatile. It is great to see all these inexpensive touring cars pop up. Even though my collection has benefited greatly from the general public's lack of interest in touring cars, I am happy to see their popularity grow. More people into them means more awesome bodies and wheels on the market.
My drift king is coming along great. All it needs is for it's servo and ball bearings to arrive and Chuck to outline the doors and lights and we will be sliding into furniture (it's too cold to drift outside).
This chassis has to be sturdy and good at repelling dirt since it was born as an offroader. Is it heavy? Maybe. My Tamiya TB01 was heavy and it was born for dirt so we will see. For now just look.

Yokomo's New Mini
Yokomo has thrown their hats into the "1/12 scale pan car turned mini" ring with their new GT500 chassis. It looks like they started with their R-12 chassis and modified it.This is very similar to the Kawada M300GT. See R-12 below.
Here's a spy shot of the GT500.
It looks promising. To be honest I haven't driven a pan car since I was 15 years old. Back then T-plates and front beams were all the rage. Now, link rear suspension and active front are the hot setup. This car has it. These cars also run a 380 size motor so they should run for a really long time on a standard battery pack. It all sounds so cool on paper that I almost want to build my old RC12i into one. We shall see.
On a different note, I have a dilemma. My awesome ABC Hobby Stratos body has a 210mm wheelbase. My M04L is an L which has a 239mm wheelbase. My M02L is an L which also has a 239mm wheelbase. The M02 can be converted to 210mm wheelbase with a standard M01 front bulkhead. Those are out of production and I have had no luck sourcing one under $50. The M04 can be converted to 210mm wheelbase but the only way I've found has me disassembling the 2 piece arms and building them wider to shift the rear uprights forward. I don't want to do that. I could buy a M03 chassis set (or XEVO Chariot) and build that as a 210mm wheelbase chassis, flip it around and convert it to RWD. but I like my M04. My final option is to try some TA02 arms flipped around and some TA04 uprights. That might get the wheelbase and track inline for the body.
Now lets look at the new GT500.
We aren't finished yet. There is also a video. The cars look slow but I think they were more or less parade laps than competition.

HPI's New EVO Body
I do not like the Evo X. I loved Lancer Evolution's because they were ultimate racing evolutions of ordinary cars. This is like they want to try to compete with BMW or something. What happened to dumping your high performance parts bin into an economy car? Whatever, I just don't like it.
#17545 MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION X BODY (200mm)
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X body from HPI Racing captures the look and feel of the full-size turbocharged 4WD street car. The Evo has always been known for outstanding performance, and the Evo X takes that formula and adds the latest technology to make it the fastest production Evo ever.
Get yourself the RC version of the Evolution X, designed to fit all 1/10 scale touring cars. Included with the body is a pre-cut decal sheet that includes window lines, headlights, grills, tail lights, official logos and much more, providing you with a realistically finished product.

Happy Holidays!
Christmas eve is time for the family to gather around the computer and watch videos. First we have former Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton showing off his RC skills. Supposedly as the story goes Lewis' skill with an RC car is what inspired his father to get him into kart racing which ultimately led him to become one of the greatest drivers in the world.
Here's a sneak peek at Team Associated's attempt at breaking the 200mph barrier.
Enjoy your holidays responsibly!

ABC Hobby And My Light Fetish
I love auxiliary lighting on rally cars. A lot. I can still remember seeing my first set. they were on a Porsche 911 kitted up for rally. Emblazoned across the from were a magnificent rack of lights. My young mind couldn't understand why all cars didn't have this. The curved array on this car is just so sweet. Combine that with the beautiful Ralliart Graphics and you have this work of art.
