Convert Your Old Radios to 2.4ghz

So you love that old Futaba Magnum Jr. radio from the 80's. You don 't use it because its AM and has less range than a super soaker. You know you need to get rid of it but you can't because it's in excellent shape. what do you do? Well now there is a solution. Corona (not the beer) has come up with a DIY conversion to convert old radios to 2.4ghz! Bam, dope right? Of course it is. As soon as I get a chance I'm getting one. I don't know what radio I want to convert but probably an old Kyosho Pulsar or a Magnum jr. I know it says FM but there are many people who have used this successfully on AM radios as well.

Idea Stealing Number 2

Look at this! More and more RC bodies are coming with headlight buckets. Some look alright some look not so much. This is a slick little idea for those bodies without chrome plated light buckets. The idea is you go to your local craft store and buy some adhesive metallic film. Cut it to fit in your light buckets and viola! instant awesome. This effect could also be had with transparent colored film and chrome buckets.

Idea Stealing Number 1

Ok I saw this little doo-hickey on a Japanese site. I thought, "I should make these for my charging setup." The idea is to have alligator clips on your charger and a few of these adapters for the batteries.

You should be able to figure it out from the pic. I'm going to make them for Tamiya, Deans, and Anderson plugs since my batteries have all three.
