Remember Stompers? No not the little buckets that you walk on like stilts, the little 4x4 toy trucks from the 80's. They were cool and fun. People have been making micro scalers from the Losi Micro Rock Crawler for a while now. Now you don't have to have any skill whatsoever and still have a neat little truck.
Oh yeah those guys who think they know everything because they work in the industry and believe RTR's are good for the hobby are really wrong. I read in the newspaper this morning that construction toy sales have increased by 13% last year. Construction toys. People want to build what they play with. Our industry is made up of mostly geeks. Geeks are usually slow when it comes to everything outside their little sphere of interest. This means they have no idea what is going on when the rest of the world is changing. RTR's are useful but we really need to have the option of complete kits with electronics on the shelves next to the RTR's. That will help the hobby grow.
This probably won't be available as a kit though but check it out anyways.
